WHY USE GENKEY

Cost: GenKey's revolutionary technology takes biometrics from expensive and proprietary systems to simple and inexpensive PC-platforms. This reduces cost drastically, and takes the use of Biometrics out to new areas of use. In addition the biometric information can be printed as a simple binary code - eliminating the need for expensive smart chips in ID-papers and Visa-stickers reducing the cost of the documents drastically. The representative binary code can also include multi-biometric information without increasing the process cost.

Mobility: GenKey works with very little CPU and storing capacity. In addition its revocability makes it the only biometric technology where the whole biometric database can be lost without creating a privacy problem.

This combination makes the GenKey technology optimal for creating small and portable biometric systems, or for making existing biometric systems mobile. Multi-biometric information from a million individuals can easily be stored as binary code in an ordinary PDA fitted with a biometric scanner. GenKey's unparalleled search speed makes it possible to do matching on a PDA, or in an online mode hooked up to the central AFIS.

Privacy: Systems using GenKey's technology only store Crypto keys and therefore avoid the need to keep any sensitive biometric information anywhere in the system, guaranteeing complete privacy to its users. This is different from all other technologies which rely on storing your biometrics or templates centrally or locally with the associated security and privacy concerns that they raise.

GenKey also eliminates the need to distribute biometric templates around networks for authentication purposes. The only thing being distributed is the Public Key that can be easily revoked if compromised.

Speed: GenKey can search through millions of fingerprint records per second on an ordinary single CPU computer, reducing search time compared to traditional approaches by a factor of over 1,000.
